Education and Training Conferences, held three times each year, are leading
training events for African American and Latino criminal justice practitioners.
These conferences offer both active duty and retired professional law
enforcement, corrections, and investigative personnel the latest substantive
information and professional skills they need to creativly and effectively
meet the needs of low income and communities of color in which they serve,
and provide unparalleled oportunities to meet and exchange ideas with
colleagues from across the country, while obtaining valuable training
in areas and topics which will allow them to succeed in their chosen careers.
The members of the National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers,
Inc. are organizations and individuals dedicated to expanding the
participation of African Americans, Latino, and other peoples of color
in the professional ranks of the criminal justice system.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Line, staff and administrative officers working in assignments for Community Policing Programs in any of the following types of agencies: Municipal Police Depts.; County Police/Sheriffs; State Police Depts.; Campus Police/Safety/Security; Federal Agencies; Transit/Port Authorities; Housing Police; School Resource Officers. As well, the staff and leadership of community organizations are welcome to attend. Workshops (except for those restricted to Members Only) are open to all law enforcement personnel.

Enter into real, truthful conversations with and learn from professional law enforcement officers "What To Do When Stopped by The Police". This presentation has been performed across the nation, and is reknowned as being highly instrumental in improving citizen understanding of police practices and have greatly assisted in improving relationships between community and police partners.
